Last Friday and Saturday night Shona Illingworth worked on part of the film she is shooting as part of 'The Swimmer and the Forest' which opens on 3 December in the library. The film was shot in a swimming pool on the University campus and involved a purpose built rig that housed the camera and that could run alongside the edge of the pool, filming the swimmer as he swam through the water. We were extremely grateful to Paul Lepper from the Electronic and Electrical Department who lent us underwater recording equipment to record the sounds of the swimmer and was extremely generous with his time and expertise.
