Would you like to work in a team to create a new computer game using the Loughborough University campus as the backdrop? Would you like to use your imagination and sense of humour to develop a challenging and fun experience for players? Working with experienced developer and tutor Jez Noond, you will spend a day prototyping a new game using a technique known as ‘procedural generation’ – it sounds fancy but it’s just a neat way of creating a landscape from bits and pieces, a bit like Lego. We’ll finish the game jam with a celebration of your creativity, some drinks, and a large-scale live projection of players tackling the game you built. But what will the rules of the game be? You decide! Come and take part if you want to learn new skills, make new friends and support your employability. No prior experience of games design in required. It’s easy once you get going. This is the workshop for you!

The workshop is FREE*. Places are strictly limited and must be booked in advance.

* A £3 deposit is required to secure your place, which is refunded on completion of the workshop.
